Moved :)

Posted by Maryani at 1:24 PM 0 comments Links to this post
After contemplating for a few days (LOL not really), I decided to just go back to tumblr :D I find it easier to post there and to play around with the themes, etc.  If I stay on blogger, I feel like I have to write lengthy posts, but in tumblr, even just a picture would be enough for a post.

I will still use the same username though: monolidgoddess@tumblr

g-Lish Sale + My first set of Makeup Brushes

Posted by Maryani at 9:41 PM 0 comments Links to this post

After my second job interview yesterday, Mommy and I went to Trinoma to eat dinner.  Mommy wanted to buy a few things so we agreed to meet about an hour later.  I originally wanted to buy loose powder from g-lish because it's cheap and it has really cute packaging! However, I ended up buying other stuff too since everything's on sale O_O Too bad I didn't have that much money with me (BOO UNEMPLOYEMPENT) so I wasn't able to buy a lot~ I really REALLY hope that this Renovation Sale be extended!

Anyway, here are the products that I bought:

I bought everything for only PhP405! o(*゚▽゚*)o

My first set of makeup brushes! So happy~! I finally bought one.  Bought this for ONLY PhP175. OMG.  Super sulit! You can buy the brushes individually too but it's around PhP75 each.  If I'm not mistaken, this set costs around PhP500 before :D

I've always wanted to buy the 7-pc makeup brush set from Suesh (the Pink/White one OF COURSE) but it costs PhP850 and I don't even know how to use them.  Plus the brush set from Suesh is a little bit longer so this g-lish set is easier to carry around.  Too bad it doesn't come with a free kit or something but who cares? It's only PhP175 so it's fine :) Plus this will be a good practice for makeup newbies like myself~ :D

One thing I like about is that it has a cute pink label on each brush so it becomes easier for people like me who have no idea where to use the brushes. Hihi.

I bought these lippies for PhP80, buy one take one! I've never had this kind of lipstick before so I gave it a try.  Not really a big fan but the colors are quite cute. Heh. However, it's so glossy and glittery and I don't see the difference between the two colors when applied.  The one on top is Holywood Glam and the other one is Girl Next Door.  Maybe I'll try combining this with a lipstick for a more dramatic effect? XD

Ahhhh. I regret buying this one.  This wasn't on sale because Ate Saleslady said this will not be one of the products that will be phased out. It's Baby Doll loose powder, PhP150.  There are two other colors /shades available: Porcelain Princess and Sunkissed Gal.  Of course, Porcelain Princess is my number one choice because it's pink! But when I tried the testers, I liked this one so much because it has glitters! Remember the Blue Pond's loose powder before?  They're a bit similar but this one has a more natural shade.

BUT the biggest disappointment is that when I got home and tried it, IT HAS NO GLITTERS AT ALL!!! щ(゜ロ゜щ) I don't know why, though.  I'm a hundred percent sure that the tester has glitters because I tried it a couple of times before buying the product. Huhuhu.

Overall, I was really happy with my g-lish purchase. :)

Etude House : Pearl Extract Facial Mask

Posted by Maryani at 12:43 AM 0 comments Links to this post

OMG I think I found the perfect mask for skin whitening! Hoho so happy *u*

Got this mask for free from this Etude House haul a few weeks ago.  I was supposed to buy this one and not the pomegranate mask but it was out of stock.  Luckily, EH gave this to me for free because I purchased PhP500+ worth of products.

This will not be a formal review since the photos I took will not give justice to this amazing product T_T~ I already used the other mask and I quite liked it too.  But this one has a different effect, it makes you glow naturally! Before, I use Garnier facial masks and to be honest, I can't see the difference that much and pimples start to show up a few days after use so I stopped buying them.

I used this a couple of hours ago.  The scent was good enough, it wasn't irritating or fruity.  The mask was pretty messy to apply but meh~ I don't care \(^o^)/ I left it for about 30 minutes on my face and when I removed it I was shocked because of my ~natural~ glow. LOL! Instant mestiza skin in just a few minutes.  Haha! It didn't make my skin too white, but it sure has this glow-y effect which I like so much ;___;

Would definitely buy one again! Especially if I wake up tomorrow with this natural glow-y, not shiny, soft and smooth face!

Nyx Snow White Lipstick + Etude House Eyebrow Pencil No. 2

Posted by Maryani at 6:02 PM 0 comments Links to this post
Here are some of the ~beauty~ products I got last week! Nyx Snow White Lipstick (PhP140) and Etude House Eyebrow Pencil (PhP128) :D

I've been looking for this shade for so long!

I have no idea how to keep my eyebrows neat and pretty so instead of buying eyebrow makeup, I bought this one instead.  I chose a brown-ish shade since the sales person from EH didn't want me to get the black one~ She said it's for people with no (or very very thin) eyebrows only~ Heee. *_*

Polyvore

Posted by Maryani at 1:51 AM 0 comments Links to this post
I've always had this dream of being a fashionista, but I don't know, maybe I just have really weird taste in clothes and do not have the confidence to dress up everyday that's why I can't force myself to be one. Haha. My family often tease me because of the way I dress and accessorize.  Most of the time I just ignore them, but sometimes it gets really annoying.

Anyway, not the point of this post! LOL. I just want to share some of my Polyvore posts! I joined Polyvore last year just because I was curious.  But I enjoyed making sets and collections so much :D Heeee~ If you have a Polyvore account, please leave a message and I would like to add you :) Mine's here :)

These are some of my formal outfit posts :) Will post the others later~ The outfit *above* is Little Mermaid-inspired, obviously :D
